Clinical Services Information

Q: How do I initiate services?

A: Call our Clinical Services Office at 406-847-8000 and speak with our Services Director, Dr. Doug Ratelle. Dr. Ratelle will assist you in selecting which of our therapists and which of our services will best meet your needs.

Q: What philosophy of therapy guides Center for Excellence therapists?

A: Each therapist is committed to understanding each client as a unique person, not as a diagnostic label or type of problem. Our therapists also understand it's vital that our clients learn to effectively apply principles that enable healthy living. In short, we are client-centered and principle-based therapists.

Q: Do you take an "individual" or a "systems" approach to therapy?

A: We've found that using both an "individual" and a "systems" approach is vital to therapy. Each person must be considered from the perspective of being part of a social system, a system of relationships. Also, each person has a system of beliefs, behaviors, genetics, etc. that make him or her unique from anyone else, even those in similar system of relationships.

Q: Should I be in individual therapy or group therapy?

A: You may make an initial call to our Clinical Services Office at 406-847-8000 and speak with Dr. Ratelle if you do not yet have a therapist assigned to you. Or, you can discuss the pro's and con's of either setting for therapy, based on your individual situation with your assigned therapist.
