Randi Michaels
MA, LCPC, NCC
Randi Michaels earned her Bachelors Degree in Humanities, and her Masters of Arts in Community Agency Counseling from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Montana and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Randi began her mental health career assisting women and college students dealing with transition, loss, substance abuse, trauma and domestic violence, among many other issues. She began working with teens and adolescents, specializing in this population, approximately five years ago.
Randi states, "Once I met with kids, I was hooked. I knew working with teens was where I was meant to be and the population I wanted to serve, including their families." Prior to working with teens or working in the mental health field and gaining her MA, she worked in the corporate arena. "It took me a while to remember I was born to work in the helping field as a therapist," she said. "I am now honored to work with students and their parents."
Randi is originally from Seattle. Randi's favorite activities include outdoor activities that incorporate the ocean or water, reading and research, hiking, and, of course, learning from teens. She remarks: "Teens have as much to teach us as we have to teach them."
