More Information On Workshops
Q: Where did these workshops originate? What is the philosophical source for the curriculum?
A: These experiential workshops are based on the principles of the Return to Excellence program. You can learn more about this program by clicking here.
Q: Why are there two principles for each of the workshops?
A: The pairs of principles each form a logical and efficient whole. The first principle powerfully opens the learning, and the second brings everything to a clear and satisfying closure.
Q: Do I have to do the workshops in order?
A: No, you do not. The workshops are designed to be independent learning events. Each workshop gives participants sufficient teaching and support to successfully accomplish each exercise. It is, however, recommended to do Trust/Power first, Intelligence/Commitment second, Endurance/Compassion third and finally Forgiveness/Love when possible.
Q: When and where are these workshops?
A: We have a schedule of workshops published in this section of the website. Please refer to it, it is updated monthly.
Q: What is the cost of the workshops?
A: All of the workshops are $300 per person, due at registration. The fee is non-refundable from three weeks prior to the workshop beginning.
Q: What am I expected to do in these workshops?
A: You will be asked to participate in each of the exercises. You will not be asked to do something twice. If you are uncomfortable with any exercise, of course you may decline. A facilitator will process your choice with you, but will not coerce you to participate. Then, after your discomfort has passed or the exercise is over, the facilitator will gently assist you in rejoining the activities.
Our workshops will energize and encourage you in profound and yet simple ways. We encourage you to absorb as much good as you are willing to absorb—and there will be an abundance available to you.
Q: If you are doing Return to Excellence groups, why are you doing workshops too?
A: Workshops give our teleconference group members another way to experience the principles, and potentially all together as a family. Also, the experiential nature and positive energy of these workshops has been shown to consistently draw even resistant family members into these interesting and enjoyable therapeutic processes.
Q: Do you ever do these workshops in other settings?
A: Yes, we are able and willing to provide workshops for business, sports teams, and other groups. These concepts have been provided in workshops formats to national and regional financial firms, hospitals, education groups, baseball and basketball teams, juvenile justice officers and staff, adolescents on probation, etc. There is no setting in which gaining ability with the Return to Excellence principles does not apply. We would be happy to discuss your particular setting with you, and describe why and how these principles would help preserve and expand the quality of relationships and performance in your setting.
